Summer School

Our Oxford-based international Summer School is a fun and dynamic taster course which provides you with the perfect opportunity to sample British culture, explore the beautiful and historic city of Oxford and at the same time practise and improve your English. What better way to spend your vacation!

  • Wide range of sporting and cultural activities each weekday afternoon
  • Full day excursion each Saturday to a major city or attraction
  • Entry to international disco one evening per week
  • Welcoming & caring homestays - all carefully selected
  • Half board Monday to Saturday*; Full board Sunday

Intensive Summer School

Those who wish to follow a more intensive language learning programme – and we recommend over 16 year olds – can join the Intensive Summer School programme, with two extra hours of English classes in the afternoons replacing the afternoon sporting and cultural activities. The cost for the Intensive Summer School programme is the same as that for the Vacation Summer School programme and includes the following:

  • 25 hours of English classes per week (i.e. 5 hours each day)
  • Full day excursion each Saturday to a major city or attraction
  • Entry to international disco one evening per week
  • Welcoming & caring homestays - all carefully selected
  • Half board Monday to Saturday*; Full board Sunday
  • Oxford bus pass (if required)
  • Free internet access at school
  • High level of pastoral care and supervision
  • Placement test on arrival
  • Leaving certificate of achievement

* Lunch is not included from Monday to Saturday and would incur an additional cost of approximately 5 GBP per day.

I attended a Summer School course in Oxford Language Centre, and loved it so much that I decided to sign up for a one year Business Foundation programme in its partner college, Abacus College. I couldn’t have made a better choice!
